As an aside, I've learned that the built in nature of the European maps is an improvement to my uninformed suggestion below. Even walking paths I used in Bad Homburg were on the map. I will be traveling to Germany, so paying extra for the built in maps was worth it to me. I must say, this is a huge improvement over the built in nav system in my car and even more so over the $100 issue of a nuvi I purchased retail for my wife last year. Okay, I got lazy and bought the 775t from Amazon. "Very nice! I revise my rating to 4 star." Garmin nuvi 775T 4.3" Widescreen Bluetooth GPS with Lane Assist (010-00715-10) It easily supports my extremely heavy Nikon D3 with 200 mm telephoto lens attached. Now that's customer service! Kudos to ToCad America for excellent customer service! By the way, the 7575 digitial tripod is as solid as a rock, as tall as a skyscraper (well nearly 75 inches anyway), still relatively light, and a snap to adjust.

It took a while to find the website for customer support - evidently ToCad America is the company that makes these tripods - but I finally got a hold of Gloria at who sent me a pdf of the tripod assembly, helped me to indentify the part that needed replacement, showed me how to free the broken portion of the part from the head assembly and then offered to send me a replacement crank handle - free of charge. On the box was a note that said the tripod came with a limited life time warranty, so I decided to see just how well Sunpak supported their product. Only then did I discover that the shaft of the hand crank that is used to lift the head assembly was sheered off inside the head assembly.

I got the Sunpak tripod 5 months ago (in December), but didn't take it out of the box until last week. Mine was the Pictures Plus 7575 digital Professional heavy duty tripod, which is similar to this one. I have to confess that I didn't buy this particular tripod. "fabulous customer support! Good tripods too" Sunpak 620-777B Ultra Pro Tripod with Bubble Level & Quick Release Plate
